We used Smokin' Hot as our caterer for our wedding and all of our guests complimented us on the amazing taste of the food. The smoked brisket was certainly the favorite menu item of the evening. The service was amazing and the value couldn't be beat. No one at our wedding left hungry!
Fine fine BBQ, the ribs don't need a drop of BBQ sauce as they come perfectly done. The staff was wonderful and accommodated my father in a wheelchair
The food was actually 5 stars but the service was a low 2. When we walked in there was only one other table occupied and it took a good five minutes for the server to even acknowledge our presence and the place is small so you KNOW when someone walks in the door. She finally took our drink order after we were seated, never greeted us or told us her name, just asked us what we wanted to drink. When she brought our food out she just put it on the table never asking if everything was ok or if we needed anything and some of us did need condiments. None of us were offered a refill on our drinks, not once did she check on us and then it took forever to get our check. It looks like they had some awesome desserts on the menu but she didn't mention them and we certainly weren't in the mood for another long wait. Maybe our server was having a bad day, but if she wasn't she really needs to consider a new line of work, she's going to lose a lot of business for this place. However, I do have to say our food was DELICIOUS so kudos to the cook.
Good spot- only ever sit in bar area. Brisket is delicious. Most of the staff are great, but like anywhere else, a couple bad apples.
First time visit first contact was friendly and welcoming. I thought if the meats taste like the smell, I'm going to love this. This is the first place I've had smoked meats with a South Louisiana flavor! Ok, it tasted very close to my own w/o my sauce. Now on a sadder note, our food certainly wasn't served as to say, "Y'all come back now, here!! Had to ask for sauce, then it came straight out of the fridge (room temp would have been acceptable for my hot meats, I ordered the sampler). Brighter side: comfortable place to dine with great food: tender moist brisket perfectly seasoned, very good homemade sausage, smoked to perfection-well seasoned chicken, haven't tasted the ribs yet; balanced Cole slaw and from the smell the baked beans were slamming, sweet potato fries very good!!! WE'LL CERTAINLY DINE HERE AGAIN!!! Finally REAL SMOKED MEATS!!!
